Construction Method of Roof Panels and Batten

1. It is recommended to use a roof made of 12-15mm-thick wood boards or plywood.

The cross-sectional size of the batten is 18×18 or 20×20, and anti-corrosion treatment should be carried out before construction.

2. For concrete roofs, use wooden or cement battens with a cross – sectional size not exceeding 25×25. The error of the roof cement mortar screed should not exceed 20mm.

Wet – type Technology for Concrete Roofs

1. Spread a 20mm – thick 1:2.5 mortar layer on the concrete roof, leaving a space 200mm wide and 20mm deep against the eaves trough.
2. Use an elastic waterproof covering to lay a waterproof layer on the dry base line, or lay a rigid waterproof layer on the slope (add waterproof admixture to the cement mortar during leveling to prevent seepage caused by inferior construction).
3. According to the actual size of the roof tiles: Snap a honeycomb – like line on the base line, with horizontal and vertical lines crossing at a 90 – degree angle. Get ready for tile – laying, and the roof tiles at the eaves should protrude 50 – 70mm beyond the eaves.
4. Stick the roof tiles to the bottom of the gutter in a certain order with cement mortar, and nail them on steep slopes with cement – coated steel nails to prevent the tiles from sliding down.
